"Infrastructural Bases for Agricultural Sustainability in New England: University Farms and Town Agricultural Commissions"

The aim of this project is to assess New England's capability to feed itself, and to significantly increase the quantity of food (fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat and grains) which it produces for local consumption within the region; and to assess some of the infrastructural needs within the region to accomplish that goal, with emphasis on the university farms of the six land grant universities, and on the work and accomplishments of the growing movement toward the establishment of agricultural commissions at the town level.
